Cyclist Makaira Wallace sprinted away with the bronze medal in the women's keirin event.

Wallace, contesting a six-woman final, made strides from fourth to third in a dash to the finish, and held off Colombia's Juliana Gaviria for a podium finish.

Makaira Wallace lands keirin bronze at Bolivarian Games

Promising female cyclist Makaira Wallace earned Trinidad and Tobago's first piece of silverware at the Bolivarian Games in Ayacucho-Lima, Peru, on December 01, when she placed third in the women's keirin final.

In the six-woman field for the final, Cuadrado was again a tough opponent to overcome as she won gold ahead of Venezuela's Jalymar Rodriguez, with Wallace sprinting over the line to ensure her spot on the podium as she bagged bronze.
