‘Bravo honoured to be named TT sports ambassador’
|
Former West Indies and TT all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is “deeply honoured” to be appointed sports ambassador to TT.
A statement issued by Bravo, on September 5, thanked Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Phillip Watts for recognising his contributions to the sport of cricket, and his cultural impact through music and international ambassadorship.
Bravo’s acknowledgment came after Watts confirmed government’s plans to appoint the T20 specialist as one of the nation’s sports ambassadors. Watts made the announcement while addressing the media at the September 4 post-cabinet briefing.
