T&T sprinter Shaniqua Bascombe sealed the country’s first gold medal in the women’s 100-metre final when she scorched the track to cross the finish line in a time of 11.19 seconds at the Junior Pan American Games in Asuncion, Paraguay yesterday.

‘JAVA Cricket to Engage Young Players Across 47 Communities’

The Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago (SporTT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, has launched the JAVA Cricket Programme, a nationwide school-vacation initiative running from July 14th to August 28th. Designed for boys and girls ages 7–17, the programme delivers twice-weekly sessions at forty-seven community venues across Trinidad and Tobago. |
