Parliamentary secretary in the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, Senator David Nakhid is willing to work to resolve the dispute over the ‘Soca Warriors’ nickname for the Trinidad and Tobago national football team. The meeting between former sports broadcaster Selwyn Melville and the TTFA is carded to take place on Thursday morning.

‘Olympic Committee, Triathlon Federation earn $$ bosst’ |
The Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Phillip Watts has bolstered TT’s sporting ambitions by presenting substantial funding to key athletic organisations (Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee(TTOC) and Trinidad and Tobago Triathlon Federation(TTTF)). The TTOC received $1 million towards the Junior Pan Am Games and the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Beach Games. The TTTF walked away with $647,920 for the Carifta Triathlon Championships. |
