‘Northeastern Regional Multipurpose Sport Facility reopens in Sangre Grande’

The Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, the Honourable Phillip Watts said every child who steps onto the court at the Northeastern Regional Multipurpose Sport Facility is a champion. Minister Watts made this statement in his address at the reopening of the facility at Ojoe Road, Sangre Grande, on Monday evening. The Minister also emphasized that the Government and the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs will remain committed to creating holistic empowerment of young people.

‘SporTT reopens Grande indoor facility, athletes breathe sigh of releif’

Sporting enthusiasts in Sangre Grande and environs breathed a sigh of relief on September 15 following the grand reopening of the North Eastern Regional Multipurpose Sport Facility on Ojoe Road, Sangre Grande.
In an interview with Newsday on September 16, SporTT CEO, Mr. Jason Williams said, “This is a proper multipurpose facility in Sangre Grande, and it is for the benefit of all users in the area, and outside of the area. We are asking the community and all who use the facility to protect it, enjoy it, safeguard it, develop the sports, develop the young men and women, and use if for the benefit of sport development.”

‘T&T’s Largest Indoor Multi-Sport Venue Reopens’
|
There were big celebrations in Sangre Grande on Monday night, as the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago officially reopened the North Eastern Regional Multipurpose Sport Facility. With two indoor courts spanning more than 1,600 square metres, a restored outdoor playing field, and newly installed lights by T&TEC, it is now the country’s largest indoor multi-sport venue.
