Sex sells, and international sport governing bodies are contributing to the sexualisation of world sport. 

​Sport is at risk of becoming practiced pornography with increasing sexualisation, commercialisation, and commodification of athletes’ bodies.

Sport governing federations and organisations must take a hard look at the trend towards adult entertainment and soft pornography. More must be done to protect and safeguard athletes, in particular women and girls.

Paul, Teniel top TTCF awards

NICHOLAS PAUL and Teniel Campbell were named the Trinidad and Tobago Cycling Federation’s (TTCF) Most Outstanding International Male and Female riders, respectively, for 2025, on Saturday night.

The pair topped the honour roll as the TTCF held its annual awards ceremony at the National Cycling Centre, Couva.
