Reigning world champion Keshorn Walcott retained his men’s javelin title, the Ascend Athletics thrower landing the spear 81.43 metres.
The women’s 200m was a thriller, Simplex athlete Leah Bertrand prevailing in 23.36 seconds to complete the sprint double.

Sport and Youth Affairs Minister, the Honourable Phillip Watts says transparency, accountability and proper financial oversight are essential prerequisites for any organisation receiving public funding.
He stressed that Government spending must be led by a clear evaluation of previous expenditures and adherence to governance principles and must be seen as a proven necessity.
