‘Jereem, Keshorn spearhead World Champs medal hunt’

Jereem “The Dream” Richards and Keshorn Walcott will lead the Trinidad and Tobago medal hunt at the September 13-21 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan. In a media release, yesterday, the National Association of Athletics Administrations of T&T (NAAATT) announced a four-member team for the global competition.
Richards will challenge for the men’s 400 metres title, while Walcott bids for honours in the men’s javelin. Leah Bertrand is listed for the women’s 100m and 200m events. And Tyra Gittens-Spotsville will do battle in the women’s long jump.
