| **‘British High Commission donates rugby kit to schools’**

| The British High Commission has donated rugby kit and equipment to the T&T Schools Rugby Union (TTSRU).
British High Commissioner John Dean says among the items the TTRSU will benefit from are clothing and training gear.
Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, Senator David Nakhid, encouraged the British High Commission to make similar efforts in other sports.
He said, "This is momentous. It shows that the UK is not only about talk. They have shown a clear commitment to all of you in the rugby community. I want to see this in all sports because this is what will place us in a position to demand of our young people that they give their best. We have to bring something to them and then hold them to account. We can't hold them to account if we don't give them the facilities. It is as clear as that."

| The Americas Paralympic Committee, in conjunction with CAF Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean and the Trinidad and Tobago Paralympic Committee, provided an update on the Trinidad and Tobago leg of the Grassroots Project at the National Racquet Centre in Tacarigua on October 9.
Minister Watts expressed his interest in promoting an inclusive sport ecosystem in Trinidad and Tobago and welcomed the opportunity to speak to CAF to discuss ways the next phase of the programme can become a reality.
